CREATIVITY IS ALSO A MENTAL ORIENTATION OF AN INDIVIDUAL TO DEAL WITH COMPLEX, AMBIGOUS AND UNCLEAR WORLD, AND TO DEAL WITH PROBLEM BY EVOLVING BETTER AND ORIGINAL SOLUTIONS.

PROF. GULFORD MEASURED CREATIVITY IN THE FOLLOWING WAYS:-

1. FLUENCY: RELEATED TO THE NUMBER OF IDEA PRODUCED.
2. FLEXBILITY: RELEATED TO THE VARIETY OF THE IDEAS PRODUCED.
3. ELABORATION: EMBELLISHMENT OF IDEAS ONCE THEY ARE PRODUCED.
4. ORIGINALITY: USE OF IDEAS THAT TEND TO BE UNIQUE OR WHICH IS NOT OBVIOUS.

PROF. H. SIMON HAS DEFINED CREATIVITY TAKING INTO ACCOUNT/ THE FOLLOWING FACTORS:-

1. NEW IDEAS: GENERATION OF NEW IDEAS.
2. UNCONVENTIONMAL THINKING: REJECTION OF THE PREVIOUSLYU ACCEPTED IDEAS AND THINKING UNCONMVENTIONALLY.
3. PATIENCE: CREATIVE DECISIONS REQUIRE PATIENCE, HIGH MOTIVATION AND ABIITY TO PERSIST WITH THE PROBLEM IN HAND.
4. AMBIGUITY: SOLUTION HAS TO BE FOUND IN A SITUTUION OF AMBIGUITY, WHEN THE PROBNLEM IS ILL-DEFINED AND VAGUE.

IF CREATIVITY IS ABOUT FINDING A NEW SOLUTION, WHICH WAS NOT KNOWN BEFORE, THEN ONE WILL HAVE TO CONVERT IGORNACE INTO KNOWLEDGE. AT DEEPER LEVEL, CREATIVITY IS THE ART OF FINFING COMPATINILITY BETWEEN SPIRITUALISM AND MATERIALISM. MATERIALISM IS ALL ABOUT MANAGING KNOWLEDGE WHILE SPIRITUALISM IS ABNOUT MANAGING IGNORACE. CREATIVITY IS ABOUT FINFING THE COMPATINILITY BETWEEN MIND AND MATTER BECAUSE ALL THE NEW KNOWLEDGE IS THE RESULT OF THINKING PROCESS. IN ADDITION TO EXPERIENCE AND INTELLECT, FAITH IS ALSO IMPORTANT IN ORDER TO THINK CREATIVELTY.
